What Vouch is

Vouch shows published waiting-list evidence beside a draft referral and asks for clarity when a letter can be read more than one way. It was built by the Vouch team.

What Vouch is not

Vouch is not medical advice, not a diagnostic tool, and not a referral system. It does not choose a hospital, assign urgency, rank one patient against another, or send anything anywhere. It assumes the decision to refer has already been taken: it cannot tell an emergency from a routine referral and does not try, so if the question is whether to refer at all it is the wrong tool. Every referral decision is made by the referring clinician, and nothing on this site changes that responsibility. The ordering of hospitals on screen is a comparison of published figures, not a recommendation.

Invented letters only

Do not enter details of a real patient. The site refuses text carrying an identifier shape it recognises, a PPS, NHS, CHI or Health and Care number, an Eircode or a UK postcode, a date, a phone number, an email address or a hospital record number, but that guard matches shapes, not names, and it is a safety net, not permission. Before the first pasted letter is read you confirm on the device that it is invented. Use it with invented letters only.

The figures

Waiting-list figures come from the National Treatment Purchase Fund's published reports and carry the date the NTPF published them. They describe people already on those lists at that date. They do not tell you how long any individual will wait, whether a hospital will accept a particular referral, or what is clinically right for a patient. The site says so on every screen; these terms say so again.

Availability and warranty

Vouch is provided as is, free of charge, without warranty of any kind. It may be unavailable, rate limited, or changed at any time. To the extent permitted by Irish law, the Vouch team accepts no liability for decisions made with or without it.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to overload the service, to extract the AI readers for other purposes, or to enter personal data. The reading endpoint is rate limited and refusals are part of the design.

Intellectual property

The site, its design and its code are the property of the Vouch team. The waiting-list data belongs to the NTPF and is used under its open data terms.

You may link to Vouch and quote its figures with their source. You may not copy the site or its code, or scrape or bulk-download its pages; programs reach Vouch through the published API and its terms. Anything we publish under an open licence, such as the evidence engine, is governed by that licence instead.
